ChatGPT Messenger

As AI chatbots go, ChatGPT Messenger is the prepaid kind: you buy credits for GPT models and spend them as you chat, with no subscription.

ChatGPT Messenger is an AI chatbot and writing tool that gives you text chat access to GPT models on a pay-for-what-you-use basis.

Credits never expire, so a quiet month costs you nothing extra.

If you change your mind, unused credits can be refunded within 3 days.

The service also runs its own algorithm that rephrases each request to get a good answer in fewer characters, which means fewer credits spent per message.

That claim comes from the service itself, so judge it by your own usage.

The catch is scope.

ChatGPT Messenger only chats.

You cannot upload PDFs or images, so anyone who needs to analyse documents or pictures will have to look elsewhere.

For plain questions, drafting text and editing, the simple setup and the absence of recurring fees are the appeal.

It fits people who reach for a chatbot now and then and would rather not pay monthly.
