Erase BG

Removing the background from a photo takes one upload on Erase BG. The site is a free background remover that handles images up to 4k resolution and returns HD cutouts, so you can keep the detail in product shots, portraits or other pictures you plan to reuse.

You can get the result with a transparent background or a white one, depending on where the image is going next.

Erase BG runs in the browser, so there is no special software to install and no editing skills to learn.

You upload the file and the AI handles the cutout.

It accepts various image formats, which covers most of what people have on hand.

The pricing is the main draw: Erase BG is free to use.

It sits in the AI photo editor and AI eraser space, but the focus is narrow.

It removes backgrounds and does little else, which suits quick jobs better than full editing projects.

If you need to cut out a subject fast and want a clean file at high resolution, Erase BG does that without a signup or a bill.
