Lucy Edit by Decart

Outfit swaps from a written prompt are the clearest thing Lucy Edit by Decart does, and the same prompt can add an accessory or turn a character into someone else in a clip you already have.

Lucy Edit is a text-guided video editing model that rewrites parts of a video while keeping the original motion, face and identity, so the scene adapts around the person instead of being regenerated.

Decart calls it the first foundation model built for this kind of editing.

There are two versions.

Lucy Edit Dev is an open-weight community model, which matters if you want to run it yourself or build on it.

Lucy Edit Pro is geared toward creators who want more consistent, detailed and reliable results.

Both work at 480p and 720p, so full HD output is off the table.

You can reach Lucy Edit through an API, the Decart platform, Hugging Face and ComfyUI.

Developers can wire it into an app, and video makers can use a node-based workflow or a hosted interface.

As an AI video editor, it makes the most sense for clothing and character changes.
