Building agents on MCP servers takes less glue code with mcp-use.

It is an open-source AI developer tool that gives development teams an SDK for creating custom AI agents, plus cloud infrastructure for deploying them and the MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers they rely on.

The platform has three main parts.

The SDK is where you write the agent.

A registry lets you find MCP servers built by the community instead of writing every one yourself.

A managed gateway then routes traffic to your servers, handles authentication and load-balancing. mcp-use can run in the cloud, on local VMs or on third-party services, so you are not tied to one hosting setup.

It is handy for teams already committed to MCP, since the whole platform is organized around that protocol rather than offering a general agent framework.
