New Portal

Opening a new tab usually means a blank page, then a second step to reach a search engine or a chatbot.

New Portal removes that extra step.

It is a Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page with a single place to search Google or ask ChatGPT a question.

You type keywords to run a Google search, or you put a question to ChatGPT, all from the tab you just opened.

That makes New Portal a small AI assistant and search tool rather than a full browser or a standalone chatbot app.

It lives inside Chrome and does one job there.

The tags point to coding and general office use, which fits: a quick lookup for a syntax question or a draft answer is the kind of thing a new tab handles well.

If you open dozens of tabs a day and usually start with a search or a question for ChatGPT, the saved clicks add up.

If you want long conversations or extra tools, you will likely still use ChatGPT on its own site.
