OpenMAIC

Type in a topic or upload a document and get a full interactive lesson back, with AI teachers, assistants and classmates talking it through.

That is what OpenMAIC does.

OpenMAIC, short for Open Multi-Agent Interactive Classroom, is an open-source AI course and lesson generator built by the THU-MAIC team at Tsinghua University.

It uses large language model orchestration and multi-agent collaboration through LangGraph.

A two-stage generation pipeline produces the material: slides, quizzes, interactive HTML simulations and project-based learning activities.

The AI participants lecture, discuss and debate in real time, so the lesson feels closer to a classroom than a recorded video.

The idea is to move online learning away from passive watching.

Because OpenMAIC is open source, teachers, course builders and developers can inspect how it works and adapt it, which a closed presentation generator would not let you do.
