Soul Machines

Soul Machines offers AI assistants you talk to for coaching and everyday support. The platform is an AI assistant and avatar tool with a studio where you can build your own custom assistants as well as use the ready-made ones.

Pricing is listed as free.

The main promise is support that feels personal and carries no judgement, which matters if you would rather practise a hard conversation or ask a basic question without feeling watched.

Soul Machines is available anytime and anywhere, so you can use it whenever a topic comes up rather than booking a session.

The range of subjects is wide.

The categories it sits in include coaching, fitness, language learning, interview practice, homework help and roleplay, with a chatbot and app builder angle on top.

The custom assistant studio is the most interesting part for developers and creators, though there is little detail on how far those assistants can be shaped.

Treat it as something to try and test yourself rather than assume deep configuration.
