Unreal Person

Designers who need a placeholder face for a mockup, or writers who want a character portrait that belongs to nobody, are the people most likely to reach for Unreal Person.

The site is a free AI image generator that produces pictures of people who do not exist, along with cats, horses and abstract art.

It is also known by the name #thispersondoesnotexist.

You can create and download random human faces and adjust them by age and gender.

Unreal Person uses a generative adversarial network (GAN) trained on a very large set of images, so each result is a unique face rather than a edited photo of a real person.

That makes it handy as an AI person generator when you want realistic faces without worrying about whose likeness you are using.

The tool is free to use.

The range is narrow, though.

You get faces, a few animal types and art, not a general prompt-based image maker, so see it as a quick source of random portraits rather than a full creative suite.
